Before I began dyeing silks I made sculptures. This is a piece I did when I was practicing a lot of meditation. I wanted to express how all the twitches and tugging of continual thought fall away and leave the breath as the only thing you feel aware of. It's like a baby's face - completely devoid of stress.
Piece has a slight defect. But like wabi sabi it fits with how we struggle to be peaceful.
